The household of the late Oba of Lagos, HRH Adeyinka Akinola Oyekan II, was today blessed with the birth of a new prince in Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom – in the London Borough of Bexley.
The baby boy was born to Dr and Dr (Mrs) Adekinte Oyekan. Mother of the new prince, Dr. (Mrs) Damilola Oyekan says herself and the little prince are fine and in excellent condition.
News of the birth of the prince came at dawn Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Princess Damilola Oyekan was delivered of her son at the Darrent Valley hospital in Dartford, the neighbourhood where Prince Adekinte Oyekan spent his young adulthood. He attended Dartford Grammar School.
Adekinte is a twin. He is Kehinde and a grandson of late Oba Oyekan. His father, Ademiju Oyekan, is a Commissioner of Police in Nigeria. He is the ninth child of the 18th Oba of Lagos.
Adekinte and Damilola attended the famed upper crust Kings College, studied medicine and graduated same day. Damilola is the first child of Dr. David Soile, Principal Partner, Gravesend Medical Centre, Kent.
Adekinte and Damilola got married with a big splash of wedding ceremonies that rocked the City of London in June 2014 and Voila! A year later, they have a royal son. Bang on time.
Doctors do it with precision, you’d agree! Congratulations to the Soile and Oyekan families.
