The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the Saturday Governorship election in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu died today – Sunday November 22. He was said to have complained of stomach ache on Saturday shortly after voting and returning to his country home in Ogbonicha, Ofu Local government, and was advised to take a rest.

January this year, photos of Audu and a young beautiful girl he married made the rounds of Blogs. We reproduce them here. Sadly, the cherubic chic now widowed would have to remarry, obviously being too youngto remain a widow.

One of the aide of the APC candidate, Tenimu Nasidi said being a Muslim they have taken his death in good faith as they strongly believed that God gives and God takes, “To me I believed that his time was up; nothing any man can do to stop it.”
Audu was born on October 24, 1964.

Audu was the first executive governor of Kogi State in January 1992 having won on the platform of the National Republican Convention. In 1998 as the flagbearer of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP), he was elected again the 2nd Executive Governor of Kogi State and sworn in May 1999.

He died on November 22, 2015 while seeking re-election on the platform of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress.
