‘Africa is still bound by slave-chains of foreign intelligence and technology’

African countries may think that since they all celebrate their different anniversaries of Independence, they are therefore free of colonialism and assimilation. Far from it. What we have going now is neo -colonialism. Capitalism has since been re-designed to ensure and prolong slavery. There is a second scramble for Africa going on. This time, no guns, no chains; just a pervasive use of intelligence and technology – the greatest camouflage that’s been made to look okay and holy.

Governments of the west and now Asia form the fray of predators. In the last two decades, North America, Europe and China have all developed various economic partnership programmes (EPAs) which in the truest sense are evil strategies to ensure that more exploitation happens with Africa getting no real value.

The EPAs are aimed at promoting free trade across borders ostensibly so that African countries can export their finished products and produce and export to these developed nations without restrictions or prohibition. In turn, African nations would also allow the developed nations for 25 years period (European EPA model) to bring in their finished products into the African market without restrictions!  In other words, they are saying to us: JUST OPEN YOUR BORDERS AND ALLOW US BRING IN OUR GOODS. It may also interest you that these EPAs also have clauses that limit the maximum duties applicable on certain products.

Now ask yourself, which finished products do African countries have? Absolutely none! All we have are raw materials and natural resources. We have failed to develop technology to process them, due mainly to the greed of our forebears and politicians, unstable governments and West-encouraged corruption.

They, on the other hand, have refineries, wood processing plants and the capacity to turn every natural resource into finished products. They collect crude oil and fresh wood, and expect us to buy the finished products from them at a huge premium, which continues to enslave Africa. Revenue from selling only raw materials can never match revenue from finished products!

The ratio of finished products to raw materials is forever going to be widely disproportional! From a single raw material, you can derive 50 finished products! Also, the African market is bigger than the already saturated foreign markets where their citizens already have an orientation of subsistence living. They can do a lot by themselves. But Africans are brain-lazy and over-dependent on others! We hate to think, reason, innovate, create or develop ideas, yet we want to live in luxury. This mentality runs through our companies/businesses, schools, government institutions and even our homes and marriages! It’s enshrined in our life, living and livelihood!

We see the threat posed by western imperialism and a feeble counter-campaign for the West to be more decent and have fair to Africa, but that may never happen nor would nature take out the predators if the hunted don’t wake up!

As a businessman, I constantly want to protect my hard-labored investment and I have a winner takes all mentality. I do some “profit sharing” sometimes (which is only a decent way of saying I am giving you .01% of my profit so you can feel happy and have a sense of belonging. Likewise, foreign countries have, over the centuries, invested in very expensive technology and research and development (the type African governments and African people scarcely invest in). I therefore don’t expect them to mortgage the future of their economies because they want to be “nice and kind” to Africans!

Natural selection won’t take out any predator who understands the strategy of using insiders within the camp of the enemy camp and uses that as a tool to his advantage. A greedy teacher (encouraged by parents who bribe him) will continually compromise examinations by leaking questions to ‘favoured’ students. It gets worse when that teacher spreads his cancer to other teachers in perpetuity. The result would be a dead school with no real value. Such a school will eventually collapse and die after spreading its disease to the society.

Africa is that school and the teacher in connivance with the corrupt parents are the predators! Unless something happens, the prey would be the one to go into extinction! Africa needs to wake up! Nobody else but us can fix our mess.

I was in Dubai recently, and you really must read the history and biography of Sheik Zayed (the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and founder of the UAE). He once refused a bribe of 30 million pounds in 1954 by the British company who wanted to explore oil when it was discovered. He reported them at the international court and forced the interested investors to plan and build their city instead of trying to bribe. He put in place policies that ensured that they experienced development at higher pace than the raw crude they were taking away. He put in place very strong land ownership laws which make it impossible till today for a foreigner to own any property or land without major equity and partnership with an Emirati (indigene). This also gave way to strong immigration laws which make it impossible for infidels (not meaning non-Muslims) to feel they can marry indigenes and stay extensively to enjoy hard benefits of becoming passport holders!

Sheik Zayed did not sell himself or his country cheap. He also had and encouraged respect for human dignity and he extended kindness in every manner. He loved Allah and wait for it… Himself and his people believe in Jesus that He was the last messenger of God and that He is coming back! Shocking but true and the few Emiratis I engaged confirmed this. I then got the revelation that God will have mercy on whom He so desires regardless of their location or beliefs. I also now have a new understanding of Isaiah 60 because all the blessings in it have been endowed upon this small UAE nation just because they love God. Sheik bin Rashid is also walking in that light. But the moment they turn away from God, I know they will be far worse than they ever were!

Africa needs to wake up and unite in good deeds, kindness and love (which conquers all). Without that, there will never be a natural selection to make our enemies extinct! We are at war!
