WAMCO donates bus, equipment to students with special needs

Dairy giant FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria donated a van, an industrial oven and cartons of dairy products on July 20 to students of Daughters of Charity – St Louise’s Special School, Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State, as part of its 2016 CSR initiatives.

Speaking to the school administrators during the company’s visit, the Human Resources Director, Mr. Tominiyi Oni, said “FrieslandCampina WAMCO is known to play an active role in improving the welfare of Nigerians by providing equipment for workshop and entrepreneurial training of students with special needs.

“We came to help these wonderful Nigerians overcome the disadvantages they face in employment, education or access to goods and services.”

The visit comprised a tour of the school; its workstations and boarding facilities, and lectures on health, safety and nutrition by FrieslandCampina WAMCO experts in conjunction with the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
